Protected indoor routes
Patch leads exposed to handling, abrasion or tighter equipment spaces.
ARMOURED FIBRE PATCH CORD WITH STEEL-TUBE PROTECTION FOR INDOOR LINKS REQUIRING ADDED CRUSH AND RODENT RESISTANCE.
Connector, length, jacket and available test records are confirmed for the selected configuration.
Match the cable to both endpoints and the installed link. Supply the following details when requesting a finished assembly.
Figures apply to the product family shown. Confirm the final connector combination and applicable limits in the order specification.
Patch leads exposed to handling, abrasion or tighter equipment spaces.
Connections requiring more mechanical protection than a standard patch lead.
Armoured multi-fibre options for applicable configurations.
Mechanical protectionA stainless-steel tube and aramid strength member add protection while retaining cable flexibility.
Configuration rangeChoose fibre mode, fibre count, connector pair, polish, jacket and length.
Route planningConfirm the dynamic and static bend requirements before installation.
Keep protective caps fitted until use. Inspect and clean both ends before mating, then confirm connector orientation and the end-to-end optical path.
Read the handling guideUse a 1.25 mm cleaner for LC or a 2.5 mm cleaner for SC, ST and FC. Reinspect after cleaning.
Align the key with the adapter. LC and SC latch or push into place; ST and FC use their specified bayonet or threaded coupling.
Where the selected uniboot connector supports field reversal, open the housing as instructed for that model, change the A-B orientation, close it and verify both channels.
Route the cable without twisting or exceeding the specified bend radius. Protect connectors during pulling and removal.
Representative Ethernet distances help frame selection; the transceiver datasheet, installed-link loss and applicable standard determine the supported reach.
| Rate | Interface | Fiber | Wavelength | Representative reach |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1G | 1000BASE-SX | OM2 / OM3 / OM4 | 850 nm | 550 m |
| 1G | 1000BASE-LX | OS2 | 1310 nm | 10 km |
| 10G | 10GBASE-SR | OM3 / OM4 | 850 nm | 300 / 400 m |
| 10G | 10GBASE-LR | OS2 | 1310 nm | 10 km |
| 40G | 40GBASE-SR4 | OM3 / OM4 | 850 nm | 100 / 150 m |
| 100G | 100GBASE-SR4 | OM3 / OM4 | 850 nm | 70 / 100 m |
For MTP/MPO assemblies, confirm lane count, polarity and the exact parallel-optics interface in addition to fiber grade.
Confirm the connector on both ends, fiber grade, polish, simplex or duplex construction, jacket, finished length and quantity.
No. Supported reach depends on the transceiver interface, fiber grade, installed-link loss and applicable standard. The distance table is a selection reference, not a guarantee for every link.
Keep caps fitted until use. Inspect both ferrules, clean with a connector-appropriate tool and re-inspect before mating. Avoid touching the end face.
Yes. Share the exact configuration and the required evidence with the RFQ. The available test scope and document format are confirmed for the selected order.
Include both connector ends, fiber grade, length, jacket, quantity, destination and any polarity, label or documentation needs.
