Product Compatibility Mapping

Cross-reference the original manufacturer part number with the corresponding Fiberland part number before confirming the target device and firmware.

No verified part-number mapping is linked to this product yet.

Send the target device brand, model, firmware or OS and port details for an exact compatibility review.

A part-number cross-reference is a model-selection starting point, not a blanket device guarantee. Final fit depends on the exact device, firmware or OS, target port and requested coding profile.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common compatibility, installation and troubleshooting questions.

Why does my compatible transceiver show low RX optical power?

Low receive power can result from excessive fiber loss, dirty connectors, damaged fiber, excessive link distance, incorrect wavelength pairing, or insufficient transmit power from the remote transceiver. Compare the measured RX power with the module's specified receiver range.

Do both ends of an optical link need the same OEM compatibility?

No. Each transceiver generally needs to be compatible with the equipment in which it is installed. For example, one end may be coded for one switch brand and the other end for another.

Why does my compatible transceiver keep losing and restoring the link?

Intermittent links can be caused by marginal optical power, dirty connectors, unstable fiber connections, FEC mismatches, port configuration, temperature, or compatibility issues. Check both the optical link and host-side configuration.

What information does DDM/DOM provide?

DDM/DOM can provide real-time information such as module temperature, supply voltage, transmit optical power, receive optical power, and laser bias current.

Why does my switch show an “unsupported transceiver” warning?

Some network devices validate vendor information stored in the transceiver EEPROM. If the module's coding is not recognized by the host platform, the switch may display an unsupported or non-certified transceiver warning.
