Product Compatibility Mapping

Cross-reference the original manufacturer part number with the corresponding Fiberland part number before confirming the target device and firmware.

No verified part-number mapping is linked to this product yet.

Send the target device brand, model, firmware or OS and port details for an exact compatibility review.

A part-number cross-reference is a model-selection starting point, not a blanket device guarantee. Final fit depends on the exact device, firmware or OS, target port and requested coding profile.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common compatibility, installation and troubleshooting questions.

What is the difference between equipment compatibility and optical compatibility?

Equipment compatibility determines whether the host device recognizes and operates with the module. Optical compatibility determines whether the two ends of the fiber link can communicate correctly. A successful deployment requires both.

What is EEPROM coding in an optical transceiver?

EEPROM coding stores identification and operating information such as vendor data, part number, wavelength, interface characteristics, and other parameters read by the host equipment.

Why does the switch report a vendor or part number different from the physical transceiver label?

Compatible transceivers may contain programmed identification information required by the host platform. The vendor or part number reported by the switch can therefore differ from the manufacturer's physical product label.

Can OEM and compatible transceivers be used in the same switch?

In many networks, OEM and compatible transceivers are deployed in different ports of the same device. Each module should meet the requirements of its individual interface.

Why does the compatible transceiver work in some ports but not others on the same switch?

Ports on the same device may support different speeds, breakout modes, interface types, or configuration settings. Check the affected port's supported transceiver types, configured speed, lane mode, and other platform-specific requirements.
