Connector handling
Protect the end face and verify polarity.
Keep protective caps fitted until use. Inspect and clean both ends before mating, then confirm connector orientation and the end-to-end optical path.
Read the handling guideUse a 1.25 mm cleaner for LC or a 2.5 mm cleaner for SC, ST and FC. Reinspect after cleaning.
Align the key with the adapter. LC and SC latch or push into place; ST and FC use their specified bayonet or threaded coupling.
Where the selected uniboot connector supports field reversal, open the housing as instructed for that model, change the A-B orientation, close it and verify both channels.
Route the cable without twisting or exceeding the specified bend radius. Protect connectors during pulling and removal.

Does the patch cord determine the maximum link distance?
No. Supported reach depends on the transceiver interface, fiber grade, installed-link loss and applicable standard. The distance table is a selection reference, not a guarantee for every link.
How should the connector be prepared?
Keep caps fitted until use. Inspect both ferrules, clean with a connector-appropriate tool and re-inspect before mating. Avoid touching the end face.
Can I request test or inspection information?
Yes. Share the exact configuration and the required evidence with the RFQ. The available test scope and document format are confirmed for the selected order.
